CTET 2021: Major Relief For Aspirants As CBSE Allows To Reappear Paper 1 Exam
In a major relief, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has allowed the candidates, who could not complete/attempt Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2021 Paper 1 examination (first shift) on December 16, 2021 due to technical issues, to appear for the examination again.
As per a notice issued by the CBSE, those candidates who were failed to appear the CTET 2021 Paper 1 examination on December 16, last year, can reappear for the exam on January 17, 2022 in the second shift, i.e. from 2.30 pm to 5 pm.
Candidates can check the official notice regarding the announcement on the official website of CTET– ctet.nic.in.
“It is noticed that some of the candidates could not complete/attempt the examination of Paper 1 (first shift) on16/12/2021 due to technical issues,” stated the CBSE in the public notice.
“Such candidates are hereby informed that their examination of Paper 1 will be conducted on 17/01/2022 (Monday) in second shift i.e. 2.30 PM to 5.00 PM,” added the CBSE.
The revised admit cards have been uploaded on the website and the candidates are advised to download their revised Admit Cards and appear in the examination at the respective centres as per the revised schedule accordingly, read the CBSE notice.
However, the request for change of examination city, examination centre and date of examination will not be entertained, added the letter.
CTET is a central level teacher eligibility test that enables candidates to apply for teaching jobs after clearing the exam. The eligibility for a CTET certificate from this year has been extended to lifetime which means on clearing the CTET once, a candidate can apply for job anytime.
