IGNOU students seek reopening of registration link for 2nd year admission

Anantnag, Oct 19 (KNO): Students pursuing masters in social work from IGNOU have requested authorities to reopen links for second year registration after missing out on registering themselves in the first place.

Various students while talking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that 15 September was the last date for second year registration but due to some issues like Covid-19 and financial problems they were unable to do the registration on time.

Students said after the closing date they contacted higher ups in this regard who assured them that the links for re-registration will be opened but so far that didn’t happen.

“If authorities won’t re-open the link we will lose our precious year,” Syed Zahoor Ahmad, a candidate said.

He said that on humanitarian ground authorities must take cognizance of the issue and re-open the link so that they can register for a second year.

Asmat Jan, another student said that due to financial issues, they were unable to register themselves for second year December Session.

Students said that they have already brought it to the notice of authorities at college level but so far nothing has gone in their favour.

They have requested authorities to look into the matter at an earliest so that students won’t lose the precious year—(KNO)
