Indian Navy Recruitment 2022: Indian Navy is inviting applications for artificer apprentice (AA) & senior secondary recruits (SSR) batch of August 2022. A total of 2500 recruits would be taken by the Indian Navy for the said positions. Applications are now open and would close on April 5, 2022 on joinindiannavy.gov.in. Candidates may please note that positions are open only for unmarried Indian men. Also, only online applications would be accepted, which would remain open till April 5, 2022.

Educational Qualification
AA Qualified 10+2 with minimum 60% marks in Maths & Physics and at least one other subject (from Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science) from a recognized state/ central board.
SSR Qualified 10+2 in Maths & Physics and at least one other subject (from Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science) from a recognized state/ central board.

Indian Navy AA, SSR Recruitment 2022: Selection Process
Candidates would be first shortlisted on the basis of their qualifying marks (Class 12 board result) in Physics, Maths and one of the three (Chemistry, Biology or Computer Science). The shortlisted candidates (4 times the total vacancies) would then be required to appear for the written test and issued call letters. The candidates would be shortlisted on the basis of state wise cut off.

Indian Navy Recruitment 2022: Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the written examination would then be required to appear for the common written test which would be for 1 hour. They would also have to undergo the PFT or Physical Fitness Test.

For PFT, candidates would have to complete a 1.6 k run in 7 minutes, 20 squats and 10 push ups. Remember, qualifying PFT is mandatory for selection.
Once selected, 600 candidates (approx.) on all India order of merit, will be issued call up letter for Enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka. For SSR, however, approximately 2500 candidates will be issued call up letter for Enrolment Medical Examination at INS Chilka on the basis of state wise merit.

Indian Navy Recruitment 2022: Interested candidates are advised to carefully go through the official notification before applying. Remember, candidates would have to pass medical tests and also training to be selected. Once satisfied regarding the eligibility, candidates must register on joinindiannavy.gov.in. Steps on how to apply are given below. Keep your Matric (Class 10) and Class 12 Mark sheet ready before you begin the application process.
  1. Go to www.joinindiannavy.gov.in and click on Register
  2. On the new window, register with your e-mail ID, and mobile numbers – if not already registered.
  3. Go to ‘Log–in’ and enter the account with the registered E-mail ID
  4. Click on “Current Opportunities” and click on Apply button
  5. Application form would be visible – fill the form completely
  6. Upload the scanned documents and photograph and click on submit

Candidates are advised again to go through the official notification carefully before applying for the position. Applications of candidates found ineligible would be summarily rejected.
