The J&K Services Selection Board, in order to fill up the vacancies
available under promotion quota at various level at Non-Gazetted Cadre and Overcome stagnation amongst officials conducted the Departmental Promotion Committee meeting. The Meeting was held on 28.01.2022 under the
Chairmanship of Mr. Khalid Jahangir, KAS, Chairman, J8&K Services Selection Board. Other members namely Shri Ashiq Hussain Lily, JKAS, Member, J&K
Services Selection Board, Mr. Sachin Jamwal, KAS, Secretary, J&K Services
Selection Board and Mr. Girdhari Lal Sharma, JKAS, Deputy Secretary to the
Government, General Administration Department also participated in the said meeting.

The previous Departmental Promotion Committee meeting was held on
07.12.2020. The Departmental Promotion Committee during the meeting
carefuly examined each case viz-a-viz. the Recruitment Rules, eligibility, APR’s,
Vigilance Clearance and Work and Conduct/Integrity of the officials and cleared Proposal for promotion of officials in various categories viz. 01 to the level of Section Officer and 06 to the level of Head Assistants.

It needs to be emphasized that DPCs now have been made a regular
feature to ensure effective management of human resources in the Services Selection Board, adding that efforts will continue to make functioning of the
Services Selection Board as robust and dynamic, as is possible
