Pahalgam, Banihal record hottest April temperatures in a decade

The tourist destination of Pahalgam recorded a maximum temperature of 26.0 degrees Celsius on Monday which is the hottest temperature recorded in April since at least 2011.
The all-time highest temperature in April for the station is 27.4°C recorded on 28 April 1979.

Banihal recorded a high temperature of 31.2 degrees Celsius, which is just 0.6 degrees Celsius below the all-time highest April temperature.
The all-time highest temperature in April for the station is 31.8°C recorded on 30 April 2007.
The temperatures on Monday were the highest since at least 2011.
