Termination of more teachers on cards as Govt seeks list of un-authorized absentees

Srinagar: The government is mulling to ‘terminate more teachers’ of School Education Department (SED) by initiating the disciplinary proceedings against the teachers who remain un-authorizedly absent from their legitimate duties.

Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Tassaduq Hussain Mir in a circular issued on Monday said, “It has come to the notice of the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) that subordinate and District head offices are not forwarding or projecting the cases of employees who are remaining un-authorizedly absent from their legitimate duties to avoid disciplinary proceedings against these officials.”

“All the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs), district head officers are enjoined upon to project the cases of such employees in light of standing instructions and guidance conveyed by DSEK from time to time so that disciplinary proceedings are initiated against these officials in terms of relevant rules available on the subject,” the director said.
