2. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 37 years
  • Cut-off Date: Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026

Women who fall outside this age bracket are not eligible to apply.


3. Residence Requirement

The candidate must be a resident of the same Electoral Ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.

Proof of residence will be established through:

  • Name in Voter List of the concerned Ward
  • Panch Ward Certificate issued by the Block Development Officer (BDO)

If any dispute arises regarding residence, a certificate from the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) confirming the ward of residence will be accepted.


4. Educational Qualification

  • Minimum Qualification: Matriculation (Class 10 pass)
  • If no matriculate candidate is available in a Panch Ward, candidates who have passed at least Class 8 may be considered.

This ensures that even in remote or educationally backward areas, local women get a chance to participate in community development.


Selection Procedure

The selection of Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) will be carried out strictly as per:

  • Government Order No. 222-JK (SWD) of 2022, dated 30-11-2022
  • Instructions of the Social Welfare Department
  • Communication issued by the Mission Director, POSHAN J&K

The selection will be purely merit-based, giving priority to educational qualification and ward eligibility.

  • No false or duplicate information has been provided
  • The candidate fulfills the minimum educational qualification
  • The candidate has read and understood HR Policy No. 222-JK(SWD) of 2022

Any false declaration can lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action.
