Government of Jammu and Kashmir Announces Recruitment for Anganwadi Workers
The Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Poshan, Bijbehara has issued a re-advertisement notice (No. 05 of 2024) dated July 5, 2024, for the recruitment of Sahiyaiks (AWHs) in various Anganwadi Centres under the Poshan Project Bijbehara. This re-advertisement follows previous notices dated November 30, 2022, April 28, 2023, and January 21, 2024.
The applications are invited from eligible female candidates belonging to the Panchayat Halqas and Municipal Wards as detailed in the notification. The recruitment drive aims to fill 14 positions of Sahiyaiks (AWHs‘) across different wards and Panchayat Halqas in the Bijbehara area.

Application Process:
Candidates must submit the application on the prescribed form (Annexure ‘A’) available at the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Poshan Project Bijbehara. Applications must be completed in all respects and submitted by July 20, 2024, 4:00 PM. Applicants who have already applied in response to previous advertisements are not required to reapply.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Candidates must be residents of the respective ward or Panchayat Halqa.
2. The minimum qualification is Matriculation, with preference given to those with higher qualifications.
3. Candidates must be in the age group of 18-37 years as of January 1, 2024.
4. Only married, unmarried, or divorced women are eligible.
5. Preference will be given to candidates who are orphans, widows, or belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.

Selection Process:
The selection committee, comprising the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Block Development Officer (BDO), and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), will shortlist candidates based on eligibility and other criteria. Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification before the final selection is made.
Required Documents:
Candidates must bring original certificates and attested copies, including educational qualifications, date of birth, and residence proof, for the verification process. Additionally, candidates should submit passport-sized photographs and any other relevant documents as specified in the notification.
