Eligibility Criteria for Sangini (Anganwadi Worker)

The eligibility conditions are laid down as per Government Orders No. 222-JK(SWD) of 2022 and 103-JK(SWD) of 2023 .

1. Age Limit

• Candidate must be between 18 to 37 years
• Age will be calculated as on 01-01-2026

2. Domicile

• Candidate must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir

3. Residence

• Applicant must be a resident of the same Electoral Ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located
• Voter list entry of the ward is mandatory
• In case of dispute, SDM residence certificate will be accepted

4. Educational Qualification

• Minimum: 10+2 (Higher Secondary)
• Maximum: Graduation
• Candidates with qualification higher than graduation are not eligible

Selection Process

Selection will be done purely on academic merit basis, and no interview will be conducted .

Merit Calculation

• Based on marks obtained in 10+2
• Two additional bonus points will be given if:
  • The applicant belongs to the family of a retired Anganwadi Worker

Tie-Breaking Rule

If two candidates score the same merit:

• Candidate with higher age will be preferred

1. Panch Ward Certificate & Voter List (issued by BDO)
2. Unmarried Certificate (from Tehsildar, if name appears with parents in voter list)
3. Domicile Certificate
4. Date of Birth Certificate
5. 10+2 Marks Card & Academic Certificates
6. Proof if from family of retired AWW (if applicable)
7. Non-Employment Certificate (from Gazetted Officer)
8. Self-addressed envelope with ₹5 postage stamp
9. Affidavit from 1st Class Magistrate

• All information is correct
• No false or duplicate documents are submitted
• They have read HR Policy 222-JK(SWD) of 2022
• Maximum qualification is Graduation only
