CTET Exam 2026 Scheduled for February 7 & 8: Check Complete Exam Timings and Shift Details

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), through its CTET Unit, has released an important public notice regarding the revised schedule of the CTET February 2026 examination. Candidates who have applied for the 21st Edition of CTET must take note of this update as the exam will no longer be conducted only on one day. This change has been introduced due to the large number of applications received this year.

Earlier, CBSE had notified candidates that the CTET examination would be held on 08 February 2026 (Sunday). However, with a higher number of applicants, CBSE has now decided to conduct the CTET exam on two days: 07 and 08 February 2026 (Saturday and Sunday). This move is aimed at ensuring smoother examination management across centers and avoiding overcrowding of candidates at venues.

As per the notice, the CTET February 2026 examination will be organized in 140 cities across India. This is a major point for candidates because earlier it was mentioned that the exam would be held in 132 cities, but now the number of cities has increased. Applicants are advised to carefully check their admit cards to confirm their assigned city, date, and shift timing to avoid any confusion.
