GMC Srinagar Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria, Vacancies, Last Date, How to Apply
Applications are invited on the prescribed format from eligible candidates of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for engagement against the following Faculty posts on an academic arrangement basis under S.O. 364 of 2020, dated 27-11-2020. The engagement is initially for one year, extendable up to a maximum of six years based on performance and conduct, or until the selection/promotion is made on a regular basis according to the relevant rules. The selection will be made under the PSC/DPC rules, whichever is earlier.
Eligibility Conditions/Criteria
1. Professor
– Departments: Neonatology, Pediatric Biochemistry, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Orthopedics, Pediatric Gastroenterology, and Pediatric Neurology.
– Eligibility: As per Govt. Order No. 49-JK(HME) of 2021 dated 19-01-2021 and Govt. Order No. 48-JK(HME) of 2021 dated 17-06-2021.
– Selection Criteria: As per criteria prescribed under Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04-04-2023 with corrigendum dated 06-04-2023.

2. Associate Professor
– Departments: Neonatology, Pediatric Biochemistry, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Orthopedics, Pediatric Gastroenterology, and Pediatric Neurology.
– Eligibility: As per Govt. Order No. 49-JK(HME) of 2021 dated 19-01-2021 and Govt. Order No. 48-JK(HME) of 2021 dated 17-06-2021.
– Selection Criteria: As per criteria prescribed under Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04-04-2023 with corrigendum dated 06-04-2023.
3. Assistant Professor
– Departments: Neonatology, Pediatric Biochemistry, Pediatric Anesthesia, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Orthopedics, Pediatric Gastroenterology, and Pediatric Neurology.
– Eligibility: As per Govt. Order No. 49-JK(HME) of 2021 dated 19-01-2021 and Govt. Order No. 48-JK(HME) of 2021 dated 17-06-2021.

Required Documents
Candidates are required to submit attested true copies of the following documents along with their application forms by or before 30th August 2024, up to 04:00 PM:
1. Date of Birth Certificate (Matriculation Qualification Certificate).
2. Domicile Certificate of UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
3. MBBS Degree along with year-wise marks cards and NMC/State Medical Council Registration Certificate.
4. Post Graduation Qualification and NMC/State Medical Council Registration Certificate thereof.
5. Teaching experience certificate as per Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04-04-2023.
6. Research Publications as per Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04-04-2023.
7. Proof of participation with oral presentation as per Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04-04-2023.
8. Proof of participation with poster presentation of papers credit as per Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04-04-2023.
9. Proof of writing a book or chapter as per Govt. Order No. 282-JK(HME) of 2023 dated 04-04-2023.
10. Proof of Gold Medal for overall 1st position in MBBS.
11. Proof of having secured Distinction in any subject in MBBS (for the post of Assistant Professors only).
12. Higher Qualification Certificate (DM/MCH/DNB/Ph.D.)
13. Specimen duly attested from the 1st Class Judicial Magistrate declaring that the applicant is not in active Govt. Services.
14. An Affidavit, if required by the selection committee during the process of recruitment.
15. A recent passport-sized photograph.
16. A Demand Draft of ₹500 in favor of “Students Welfare Fund” payable at J&K Bank, Government Medical College, Srinagar (Account No. 0349410100007655).
