Govt High School in Tral faces staff shortage, students suffer

Pulwama, Sep 26 (KNO): A government High School in Tral is facing a staff shortage, affecting students.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), in Dodamarg Tral, locals said that the school was upgraded to high school in 2014 but continues to face staff shortage since then.
They said that there are just six teachers to teach over 150 students.
Shabir Ahmad, a local, said the annual result of school has remained average or below average due to staff shortage.
He said that people living in the area are financially weak and can’t afford to send their children to private schools.
“We have brought issues of this school into the notice of higher ups several times to no avail,” they said.
“We have even met the Secretary education department and other officials in this regard who assured us that more teachers will be posted there but nothing has been done as now,” they added.
Chief Education Officer Pulwama Abdul Qayoom Nadvi told KNO that the department is on it and the school will get teachers very soon—(KNO)
