The ICAR-Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (ICAR-CITH), Srinagar, is inviting eligible candidates for a walk-in-interview on August 5th, 2024, at 11:00 AM. The positions available are on a purely contractual basis under different projects.

Positions Available:

1. Scientific Assistant/Field Worker: 01 post

   • Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Science
   • Desirable Qualification: B.Sc Agriculture/Horticulture/Biotechnology, Expertise in Insect curation and processing
   • Emoluments: Consolidated Rs. 15,000.00 per month

2. Junior Research Fellow: 01 post

   • Essential Qualification: Post graduate degree in Agriculture/Horticulture with specialization in Plant Pathology/Microbiology/Biotechnology/other related fields of plant science selected through a process described through any norms given in DST office memorandum No.SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019.
   • Desirable Qualification: Experience in pathological and molecular techniques viz., pathogen isolation and characterization, DNA isolation, PCR amplification, Sequence analysis, real Time PCR analysis etc.
   • Emoluments: Rs. 31,000.00 + 16% HRA for the first two years and Rs. 35,000.00 + 16% HRA for the third year
