Post Details: Young Professional-II (YP-II)

The recruitment is being conducted for one (01) post of Young Professional-II under the DUS Centre for Temperate Fruits and Nuts project. The selected candidate will be engaged initially for a period of one year, or till the completion of the project or availability of funds, whichever is earlier. The tenure may be extended further based on satisfactory performance and fund availability.


Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in any one of the following disciplines from a recognized university:

  • Genetics & Plant Breeding
  • Horticulture
  • Plant Biotechnology
  • Botany
  • Plant Pathology
  • Plant Biochemistry

Desirable Qualification

  • Prior experience in DUS (Distinctness, Uniformity and Stability) testing will be given preference.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 21 years
  • Maximum Age: 45 years

Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India (GoI) and ICAR norms.

Salary / Emoluments

The selected candidate will receive a fixed consolidated remuneration of ₹42,000 per month (Rupees Forty-Two Thousand Only).

The emoluments will be paid as per the norms and guidelines of ICAR/GoI, and no additional allowances such as DA, HRA, or TA will be admissible.


Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the Young Professional-II post will be based on a marks-based evaluation system, followed by a personal interview.

  • Essential Qualification: 50 Marks
  • PhD Degree (if applicable): 05 Marks
  • Experience: 10 Marks (02 marks for each completed year)
