Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora, Kashmir: Engagement of Assistant Professors on Academic Arrangement Basis
Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Awantipora, Kashmir, has announced openings for the position of Assistant Professor on a contractual academic arrangement basis. This recruitment drive seeks to engage eligible candidates in the fields of Mathematics, Actuarial Mathematics, and Artificial Intelligence.

Eligibility Criteria
1. For Mathematics and Actuarial Mathematics:
– A Master’s degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) or an equivalent grade in a relevant/allied subject.
– The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or have been awarded a Ph.D. in accordance with UGC regulations.
– Alternatively, candidates with a Ph.D. from a top 500 world-ranking university may also apply.
2. For Artificial Intelligence:
– A Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, etc., with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
– Candidates who have cleared the NET or have a Ph.D. in relevant fields are eligible.
– Candidates with a B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or equivalent with first-class or an equivalent grade may also apply.
Emoluments
– PG Holders: Rs. 45,000 per month
– NET/SLET/SET Holders: Rs. 48,000 per month
– Ph.D. Holders: Rs. 50,000 per month
Tenure
The tenure is for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance or until the position is filled on a permanent basis.

Selection Procedure
