J N Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship for Fall 2025 to Spring 2026

The J N Tata Endowment Loan Scholarship is an excellent opportunity for Indian students wishing to pursue higher studies abroad. This prestigious scholarship is aimed at providing financial assistance to students for postgraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral studies at recognized institutions overseas.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Indian Citizenship: The scholarship is open to Indian citizens.
2. Educational Qualification: Applicants must have completed at least one undergraduate degree or must be in the final year of an undergraduate program from a recognized university/college/institution in India.
3. Course Requirements: The applicant should be interested in pursuing postgraduate, doctoral, or postdoctoral studies abroad, and the course must be recognized as a Graduate Program (post-graduate in Indian terminology).
4. Academic Performance: Candidates must have achieved at least 60% marks on average in their undergraduate or postgraduate studies.
5. Age Limit: The candidate must be 45 years or younger as of June 30, 2025.
6. Previous Applicants: Candidates who were previously not selected or could not avail of the scholarship despite being selected are eligible to apply again.
7. For Ongoing Studies: Students already pursuing post-graduate studies overseas may apply for the scholarship at the end of their first year or the beginning of their second year, provided they have at least one full academic year (12 months) remaining to complete their studies at the time of the award.

Scholarship Benefits:

• Loan Scholarship: The scholarship provides a loan of up to Rs. 10 lakhs to eligible students.
• Additional Grants: Students selected for the loan scholarship may be recommended for partial Travel Grants and a Gift Award, based on their academic performance abroad. These are offered at the discretion of the Trustees of the concerned Trusts.
