Jammu Authorities Order Closure of Coaching Centres Amid Inclement Weather

Jammu, Sept 2: The Office of the Chief Education Officer (CEO), Jammu, has ordered the closure of all coaching centres in Jammu District with immediate effect, citing prevailing inclement weather conditions. The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff, and the general public.

According to the circular issued on Tuesday, all coaching centres operating within the jurisdiction of Jammu District shall remain closed until further orders. The order emphasizes that this move is aimed at preventing any untoward incidents in view of the ongoing adverse weather conditions.

“This decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incident and to ensure the safety of all concerned,” the circular reads.

The Chief Education Officer, Jammu, has further directed all coaching centre operators to strictly comply with the order. It has also been cautioned that any violation will be dealt with sternly under the relevant provisions of law.

Copies of the order have been forwarded to the Director School Education Jammu, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, and the Joint Director Information with instructions to disseminate the information through electronic and print media.

The sudden closure has come at a time when students are preparing for their academic and competitive examinations, and while it may cause temporary disruption, officials have stressed that safety remains the top priority.

Local authorities have urged the public and educational institutions to remain vigilant and follow precautionary guidelines until the weather conditions improve.
