NTA closed the JEE Main session 1 provisional answer key objection window on February 6.

Along with the provisional answer key, the agency also shared candidates’ recorded responses and questions. To submit an objection, a candidate had to pay a non-refundable fee of 200 per question.

NTA said subject experts will review candidates’ challenges, and if they are found valid, the final answer key will be revised.

JEE Main session 1 result will be prepared using the final answer key.

Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Click on the session 1 scorecard download link.

Provide the requested information and log in.

Check and download your result.

JEE Main session 1 paper 1 (BE/BTech) exam was held on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29. The paper 1 test was held in two shifts – from 9 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Paper 2 of JEE Main (BArch/BPlanning was held in the second shift of the last day, January 30 (from 3 pm to 6:30 pm).

How paper 1 result will be compiled

Since JEE Main session 1 for the BE/BTech paper was conducted in multi-shifts, NTA scores will be calculated corresponding to the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate.

The calculated NTA scores for all the shifts will be declared on the NTA websites. This will comprise the NTA scores for each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) and the total in the paper 1 exam.

About cancellation of result

  • The result of candidates who provide false information, appear in more than one shift/date will not be declared.
  • The result of candidates who indulge in unfair means practices will be cancelled and will not be declared.
  • The result of candidates who appear from the centre other than the one allotted to them or allow another candidate/person to write the examination on his behalf will be cancelled.

How many students topped JEE Mains in session 1 last year?

In 2024, 23 candidates topped the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) session 1 exam. No female candidate scored the highest NTA score of 100.

Tie-breaking rule for paper 2B

Ties in the marks of 2 or more candidates in paper 2B (BPlanning) will be resolved in the following order:

NTA score in Mathematics, followed by

NTA score in Aptitude Test, followed by

NTA score in Planning Based Questions, followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects, followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics (part- 1), followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Aptitude Test (part- 2), followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Planning Based Questions (part-3).

If the tie remains, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

Ties between candidates in paper 2A (BArch) will be resolved in the following order-

Higher NTA score in Mathematics, followed by

Higher NTA score in Aptitude Test, followed by

Higher NTA score in Drawing Test, followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects, followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics (part-1), followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Aptitude Test (part-2) in the test.

If the tie remains after all these stages, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

  1. After the result is declared, go to jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  2. Open the session 1 scorecard download link displayed on the website.
  3. On the login window, provide the required information.
  4. Submit and download the session 1 scorecard.

If two or more candidates obtain the same NTA scores in the JEE Main paper 1 (BE/BTech), ties will be resolved in the following order:

NTA score in Mathematics, followed by

NTA score in Physics, followed by

NTA score in Chemistry, followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in all the subjects in the test, followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Mathematics, followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Physics in the test, followed by

Candidate with less proportion of a number of attempted incorrect answers and correct answers in Chemistry.

If the tie remains even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.
