J&K Helpers/AAYAs Recruitment 2024 under ECCE in various schools for the year 2023-24
The Zonal Education Officer, Aishmuqam, Jammu & Kashmir, has issued a re-advertisement notification for the engagement/hiring of Helpers/AAYAs under the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) program for the year 2023-24. This initiative aims to enhance the educational environment in 02 approved schools within the zone.
Selection Process:
The selection process emphasizes restricting the engagement of Helpers/AAYAs to the Village/Ward where the approved school is located, ensuring a close community connection. The deployment is purely contractual, temporary, and co-terminus with the financial year, subject to performance and fund approval.
Eligibility Criteria:
The eligibility criteria prioritize female candidates who are domiciles of the respective Village/Ward, belonging to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, and physically/mentally fit for the job. The minimum educational qualification required is 8th Class Passed.
Preference Criteria:
Preference is given to female candidates from the BPL category, with a hierarchy based on widowhood, divorce, orphanhood, and elder candidates.

Age Limit and Honorarium:
Candidates must be between 18-45 years as of January 1, 2023. The selected Helpers/AAYAs will receive an honorarium of Rs. 5000/- per month, subject to approval in the subsequent year.
Total Non-Availability and Finalization of Selection Process:
In case of no eligible candidate, candidates from the concerned Panchayat/Municipal Committee will be considered. In the event of a tie-up, preference will be given to the elder candidate.
Appeal and Premature Termination:
An appeal process is in place for aggrieved individuals. Premature termination due to misconduct or poor performance is at the discretion of the Head of Institution.
Job Chart and Document Verification:
The job chart outlines the responsibilities of Helpers/AAYAs in pre-primary sections, emphasizing child care and hygiene. Document verification is mandatory, and failure to produce relevant documents may result in disqualification.
Department’s Decision:
The department’s decisions regarding eligibility, application acceptance/rejection, and the mode of selection are final and binding. The timeline for application submission is within 07 days from the notification issuance.
