Special Scholarship Scheme for Students of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh: Online Registration for 2024-25
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced the Special Scholarship Scheme (SSSJ&K) for the students of the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh for the academic year 2024-25. This initiative, under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) Yojana, aims to provide financial assistance to deserving students who have passed their 10+2 exams from JKBOSE or CBSE schools located in these regions. Online registration began on June 18, 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is available to students who:
– Passed 10+2 from JKBOSE or CBSE schools located in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir or Ladakh in the session 2022-23 (enrolled in 2022 and passed in 2023) and 2023-24 (enrolled in 2023 and passed in 2024).
Courses and Financial Assistance
The scholarship covers various streams with specific financial aid:
– General Degree: Academic fee up to Rs. 30,000 per annum.
– Professional Courses (Engineering, Nursing, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Architecture, BA LLB through NLU, etc.): Academic fee up to Rs. 1.25 lakh per annum.
– Medical/BDS or equivalent: Academic fee up to Rs. 3.00 lakh per annum.
Additionally, all eligible students will receive a maintenance allowance of Rs. 1.00 lakh per annum, disbursed in ten equal installments.
Registration Process
– Registration commenced on June 18, 2024. For specific dates and detailed instructions, students should refer to the calendar of events available on the AICTE website.
– Students are required to visit the nearest Facilitation Center for Registration and Document Verification from June 21, 2024, onwards. A list of these centers is available on the AICTE website.

Important Notice
Students already enrolled in any other scholarship scheme on board with NSP or enrolling while being a beneficiary of SSSJ&K and Ladakh are not eligible for this scholarship as per the guidelines of the Scheme.
