JKBOPEE Invites Offline Applications for B.E./B.Tech. Admission 2024 in J&K
The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) has released Notification No. 105-BOPEE of 2024, dated 11-09-2024, inviting offline applications for B.E./B.Tech. Courses 2024 in various Government and Private Institutions/Colleges of UT of J&K. This special round of admissions aims to fill vacant seats following the conclusion of three rounds of counseling.
Eligibility Criteria:
1. Educational Qualification:
– Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or an equivalent qualification with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
– Open Merit candidates need a minimum of 45% marks, while reserved category candidates (SC/ST/RBA/ALC/IB/OBC) need 40%.
– Candidates who have already appeared in the CET conducted by BOPEE on 09-06-2024 are eligible.
2. Special Categories:
– Children of Defense Personnel, Police Personnel, Para-Military Forces, Children with outstanding sports proficiency, and those under the Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme are also eligible for admission.
3. Domicile:
– The applicant must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
4. Non-CET Candidates:
– Candidates who have not appeared in the CET on 09-06-2024 can also apply but must meet the eligibility criteria.
Application Details:
– Mode of Application: Applications must be submitted in offline mode on plain paper.
– Dates: Applications can be submitted from 12-09-2024 to 13-09-2024.
– Application Fee: First-time applicants need to pay an application fee of ₹1000 via POS Machine available at BOPEE offices in Jammu and Srinagar.
Governing Rules:
The selection will be governed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations Act, 2002, the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Act, 2004, and the J&K Re-Organization Act, 2019, along with relevant amendments. Candidates must also refer to the Electronic Information Brochure 2024 for detailed guidelines.
