JKBOSE extends last date for NMMSS applications 2025-26 till February 15
The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued an Extension Notification regarding the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for the session 2025-26. As per the latest notice, the board has decided to provide additional time to students and concerned authorities for submission of application forms.
Last date extended
According to the notification issued by JKBOSE Academic Division, the last date for submission of NMMSS application forms has been extended up to 15 February 2026. The decision comes in continuation of the earlier notification issued vide No: F(Acad-C-NMMS)2025-26 dated 01-12-2025.
NMMSS is an important scholarship initiative aimed at supporting meritorious students from economically weaker backgrounds, and the extension provides an opportunity to ensure maximum participation of eligible candidates.
Who can apply?
The NMMSS applications are invited from Class VIII (8th) students, particularly from eligible Government schools, as mentioned in the JKBOSE notice. Students who were unable to submit their forms within the earlier deadline can now complete the process before the revised cut-off date.
Instructions for Chief Education Officers
The notification further states that the concerned Chief Education Officers (DNOs) must ensure that all complete application forms along with required documents are compiled properly.
In addition, the district-wise database must be submitted to:
- CDR Wing, Bemina, Srinagar or
- Rehari Colony, Jammu
The submission by the concerned officers must be made within seven days of the closing date of the notification.
