JKBOSE Issues Notification: Aadhaar Mandatory for Students Applying on National Scholarship Portal

📌 JKBOSE Issues Notification: Aadhaar Mandatory for Students Applying on National Scholarship Portal

The Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued an important notification making Aadhaar number mandatory for students who wish to avail benefits of centrally sponsored scholarship schemes through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

The directive has been issued under the provisions of Section (7) of the Aadhaar Act, 2016, which mandates Aadhaar authentication for the delivery of subsidies, scholarships, and other financial benefits from the Government of India.

🔑 Aadhaar for One-Time Registration (OTR)

Apart from authentication, Aadhaar ID will be required for generating the One-Time Registration (OTR) Number on NSP, which is now compulsory for students to apply for scholarships online.

The One-Time Registration system has been introduced to simplify the process and ensure transparency in scholarship disbursement.
