JKBOSE Website to Remain Temporarily Shut From January 19, 2026; Online Services Suspended
Srinagar/Jammu, January 16, 2026:
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced a temporary shutdown of its official website www.jkbose.nic.in due to scheduled technical upgradation. As per an official public notice issued by the board, the website will remain unavailable for 4 to 5 days starting from January 19, 2026.
The decision has been taken to carry out essential technical improvements in line with operational guidelines, aimed at enhancing the performance, security, and efficiency of JKBOSE’s online systems.
Online Services to Remain Suspended
During the shutdown period, all online services provided through the JKBOSE website will remain suspended. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Submission of re-evaluation applications
- Requests for photocopy of answer scripts
- Other student- and institution-related online services
Students, parents, schools, and other stakeholders have been advised to plan accordingly and avoid attempting online submissions during the downtime.
Official Statement
In the notice, JKBOSE informed all stakeholders, students, parents, and the general public about the temporary unavailability of its website and expressed regret over the inconvenience caused due to the mandatory shutdown.
The notice further clarified that the shutdown is purely technical in nature and necessary for system upgrades to ensure smoother functioning of services in the future.
Important Advisory for Students
Students who were planning to apply for re-evaluation, photocopy of answer scripts, or any other online service are advised to wait until the website becomes operational again after the completion of the upgradation process.
JKBOSE is expected to restore full services immediately after the maintenance period concludes.
