Kashmir University Ph.D. Admission Notification 2025 Released – Apply Online from July 24
The University of Kashmir, Srinagar, through its Office of the Dean Research, has issued the official notification for admission to Ph.D. programmes 2025. Eligible candidates are invited to apply online for the Ph.D. Entrance Test in various disciplines offered at Main Campus, North Campus, and the Institute of Technology (IoT), Zakura Campus.

✅ Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Admission:
- Minimum Qualification: Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade “B” in UGC 7-point scale.
- Relaxation: 5% relaxation in marks (i.e., 50%) for SC/ST/OBC/PH/EWS candidates as per UGC guidelines.
- Other Accepted Qualifications: Integrated Master’s Degrees, equivalent foreign degrees accredited by recognized agencies, or equivalent qualifications as per university rules.
📝 Entrance Test Details:
- Pattern: Single entrance paper with three parts
- Part I – General Aptitude (20 Marks)
- Part II – Basic subject questions (50 Marks)
- Part III – Advanced subject questions (30 Marks)
- Total Questions: 100 MCQs with no negative marking
- Syllabus: Available on respective departmental websites.
⚖️ Tie-Breaking Rules:
In the event of equal marks:
- Candidates with higher marks in Master’s/Equivalent will be preferred.
- If still tied, preference will be based on older age.
- Further resolution as per University statutes.
