UGC NET Syllabus is prescribed by the University Grants Commission for both June and December cycle along with the notification. The UGC NET exam is held twice a year to ascertain candidates’ eligibility for Assistant Professor positions or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor roles in Indian universities and colleges. Lakhs of candidates appear for the exam; however, only a few are able to crack it.
For the June 2024 cycle, a total of 11,21,222 candidates registered for the exam, with 6,84,224 candidates appearing and 1,70,734 securing above the UGC NET Cut off marks.
