Recruitment Announcement: Selection of Krishi Udyamis in Shopian under HADP (Phase Second)
The Office of the District Development Commissioner, Shopian, has issued a notification regarding the selection of candidates for engagement as Krishi Udyamis (Agriculture Entrepreneurs) under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) Phase II. This initiative aligns with the establishment of Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) as part of the Mission Director’s efforts to support agricultural growth in the region.

- Advertisement and Application Process
An advertisement inviting applications for 33 Krishi Udyami positions across various approved locations in Shopian was published on August 3, 2024. The engagement is temporary for an initial period of two years.

- Merit-Based Selection
The selection process adhered to a merit-based weightage system considering academic qualifications and relevant field experience. A provisional merit list was released, allowing applicants a four-day window to raise objections. - Objections and Resolution
A total of seven objections were received and duly addressed, except for the Wachi location, where document verification remains pending. - Conditions for Selection
Selected candidates are required to ensure 750-800 square feet of available space, either owned or rented, to house the Kisan Khidmat Ghar. The location must be sufficient to serve the designated panchayat areas.

Reporting and Further Instructions:
- Selected candidates must report to the Chief Agriculture Officer, Shopian, within seven days from the issuance of this notification.
- They must submit a site plan for the proposed location of the KKG along with their joining report.
- Failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe will result in cancellation of the candidature, and the waiting list will be activated.
Objective of the Initiative:
The engagement of Krishi Udyamis aims to strengthen agricultural entrepreneurship in Shopian by providing infrastructure and support through KKGs. These centers will serve as hubs for agricultural resources, advice, and services, fostering growth and sustainability in farming practices.
