Sainik School Admission 2024 Applications Open for Class 6th & 9th – check AISSEE Dates and Eligibility Requirements
NTA Announces AISSEE-2024 for Sainik School Admissions: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to conduct the All-India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2024, marking the gateway for admissions to Class VI and Class IX in 33 Sainik Schools across the country. This premier testing organization, established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, aims to identify young talents and groom them for future leadership roles in defense.
Scheduled for 21.01.2024 (Sunday), the exam will follow a pen-paper (OMR Sheets based) mode, featuring multiple-choice questions. In a significant move, the Ministry of Defence has approved 19 new Sainik Schools, operating in collaboration with NGOs, private schools, and state governments. These schools function under the umbrella of the Sainik Schools Society.
For admission to Class VI, candidates aged between 10 and 12 years as of 31.03.2024 are eligible, with the provision for girls, subject to vacancy availability. Likewise, for Class IX, candidates aged between 13 and 15 years as of 31.03.2024, having passed Class VIII, can apply. Girls are also eligible for Class IX admissions.
To facilitate a wide reach, the exam will take place in 186 cities across India. The last date for online application submission is 16.12.2023, with an exam fee of Rs. 650/- for General/Defence personnel/OBC(NCL) and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST. Payment can be made online through debit/credit cards, internet banking, or UPI.

The application window is open from 07.11.2023 to 16.12.2023, and the exam fee must be paid online by the latter date. Step 1: Sainik School Registration 2024 Online
Go to the official website: exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE/ application 2024.
On the homepage, click on the “Application” link provided.
A new page with information on the fee and necessary documents will be displayed. Click the “Proceed” tab after carefully reading these instructions.
The Sainik School form 2024 will now show up on the screen with your personal information, exam medium, school applied for, exam centre preference, father and mother’s information, and permanent residence address.
Click “Save” to create a User ID and Password and then save them.
Step 2: Upload Photograph & Signature
A scanned passport-sized photo should be uploaded.
In the given size and format, upload the candidate’s signature.
The scanned copies should both be in .jpg format.
Photographs and signature images should not exceed 1MB in size.
Step 3: Online Fee Payment
Students must pay the Sainik school fees of Rs. 550/- (Rs. 400 for SC/STs) online after uploading scanned images.
Students can pay the fee through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking.
Additional transaction fees of Rs. 30 will apply.
Step 4: Upload Documents
Students are now required to upload scanned copies of their birth certificates, domicile certificates, and caste certificates.
It should be in .jpg, .png, or .pdf format.
Each document shouldn’t exceed more than 2 MB in size.
Students in the General and Defense categories are exempt from uploading a caste certificate.
Step 5: Download Confirmation Page
A confirmation page will be generated once the aforementioned processes have been completed.
Students should thoroughly check every detail on the Sainik School admission form 2024 and download the confirmation page for their records.
Step 6: Submit the Sainik School Admission 2024 Form
To submit the admission form finally, press “Submit” at this point.
Write down the application number.
