SKUAST-Kashmir Announces Vacancy for Young Scientist Position
Srinagar, July 8, 2024 — The Division of Food Science and Technology, under the Faculty of Horticulture at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST), Kashmir, has announced a vacancy for the position of Young Scientist. This position is part of a project titled “Setting up of model walnut processing unit in district Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir,” sponsored by the Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG 2.0) initiative of the Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA), Government of India.
Position Overview
The university seeks a highly motivated and eligible candidate to fill this vital role. The selected candidate will work on a contractual basis, with the position being co-terminus with the project.
Position: Young Scientist (1 vacancy)
Qualifications: Candidates must possess an M.Tech./M.Sc. in Food Technology or M.Tech in Processing and Food Engineering with NET, or a Ph.D. in Food Technology/Processing and Food Engineering. Additionally, at the graduation level, candidates should have a 4-year degree in B.Sc Agriculture and allied subjects, B.Tech Food Technology, or Agricultural Engineering/B.Sc Food Technology.
Salary: ₹55,000 + 18% HRA
Age Limit: Candidates should be below 35 years, with a relaxation up to 40 years for SC/ST and women candidates.
