Young Professional (YP) Position Available at SKUAST-K
Division of Agrometeorology, SKUAST-K, Shalimar is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Young Professional (YP) on a contractual basis. This position is part of the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Agrometeorology (VC).
Qualifications:
- MSc (Ag) in Agrometeorology / Agricultural Physics/Agronomy/Soil Science with NET.
- Preference will be given to candidates possessing masters in Agrometeorology.
- One year working experience in meteorological data collection, data processing, crop simulation modeling, RS/GIS & AI/ML is desirable.

Responsibilities:
The YP will be responsible for:
- Collecting and processing meteorological data
- Developing and running crop simulation models
- Utilizing remote sensing (RS) and geographic information systems (GIS)
- Employing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques for agricultural applications
Compensation:
The YP will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000/- per month.
Duration:
The position is co-terminus with the project.
