Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir Announces Walk-in Interviews
The Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-Kashmir) has announced walk-in interviews for temporary positions under the National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS), Government of India funded Department of Wildlife Protection, Jammu & Kashmir Government and SKUAST-Kashmir Collaborative Project titled “Nature Learning Centre for Jammu & Kashmir”.
Details of the Positions
Research Associate (RA-III)
- Number of Positions: Three (03)
- Monthly Emoluments: @ Rs. 54000 + 18% HRA
- Age Limit: 45 years
- Project Duration: Three (03) Years
- Essential Qualifications: Doctoral (Ph.D.) Degree in Wildlife Sciences or Ph.D. in Forestry/ Zoology/Vet. Sc. & AH/Environment Science from a recognized university and having a significant proven experience/ certificate in Wildlife or in a Protected Area research and management
- Desirable Qualifications: BSc in Agriculture & allied fields/ Natural Sciences with relevant significant experience of working in Wildlife or within a protected area enabling the candidate to perform the assigned job in the Protected Areas. Work involves site visits of PA and designated schools, colleges for conservation awareness and training, reporting for preparation of conservation plans.
- Description of Work: Excellent writing skills are required for coordinating awareness and capacity building programs. Candidate is expected to make field visits, report writing and management prescription. Good knowledge of Wildlife and high Conservation Value Areas.
Scientific Administrative Project Assistant
- Number of Positions: Two (02)
- Monthly Emoluments: @Rs. 18000/- fixed
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Project Duration: Three years
- Essential Qualifications: BSc in Agriculture & allied fields/Natural Sciences from a recognized university and having a significant proven experience/ certificate in Wildlife or in a Protected Area research and management
- Desirable Qualifications:
- Good skills in computers, spatial analysis of data with GIS/Ecology.
- Good skills in Himalayan wildlife and Environment conservation
