Weatherman predicts, hot, humid weather for next 6 days in J&K
Srinagar, June 18 (KNO): Several areas across the Kashmir Valley including the summer capital Srinagar recorded the hottest day of the season on Sunday.
Data available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reaveals that Srinagar recorded the hottest day of the season at 31.8 degree Celsius.
The data further added that Pahalgam, Qazigund, Kupwara and Gulmarg also recorded the hottest day of the season today.
In Kupwara, the mercury settled at 31.0 degree Celsius while in Qazigund the mercury settled at 31.6 degree Celsius.
As per the data, the mercury settled at 26.6 degree Celsius and 21.5 degree Celsius at famous tourist places, Pahalgam and Gulmarg respectively.
Moreover, the weatherman has predicted hot and humid weather conditions for the next 6 days in Jammu and Kashmir.
Director Meteorological department, Sonum Lotus told KNO that there is a possibikity of mainly clear weather in J&K.
From June 19-23, the weather would remain mainly dry, but a brief spell of shower, thunderstorm mainly towards late afternoon, evening can’t be ruled out, he said.
During June 24-26, he said there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder, lightning likely at scattered to fairly widespread places with 60% chances, adding that there is no forecast of any major rainfall this week—(KNO)
