University of Kashmir Announces Admission Notification for 2025
The University of Kashmir, Hazratbal, Srinagar, has officially released its admission notification for the academic session 2025. The university invites applications for Postgraduate (PG), Integrated UG & PG, and other professional and non-professional courses.
Important Guidelines for Applicants
Candidates interested in seeking admission must keep the necessary documents ready, including:
- Marks Certificates of the Qualifying Examination
- Domicile Certificate
- Date of Birth Certificate
- Character Certificate
- Provisional Certificate
- Reserved Category Certificate (if applicable)
The university has clearly stated that “Certificates under process” will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Admission Under Sports Category
Students applying under the Sports Category must contact the Director, Physical Education and Sports, University of Kashmir with original International/National/UT level Sports Certificates for verification. Only certificates issued by the Director, Physical Education & Sports, University of Kashmir will be considered valid.
Admission on the Basis of National Level Tests
For several professional courses, admissions will be based on valid scores from national-level entrance tests. The table below outlines the required exams for specific programs:

If seats remain vacant, the university will conduct an immediate entrance test, for which a separate notification will be issued.
KU Entrance Test
For all other programs, admissions will be based on the KU Entrance Test, and details will be notified shortly.
Admission Schedule
- 12th-based programs: Admissions begin in April 2025
- Graduation-based programs: Admissions begin in June 2025
Exit Option for 4-Year UG Programme Candidates
Students admitted under NEP-2020 in 2022 and wishing to exit after three years are advised not to take this option unless they have secured a seat in a Master’s program at the University of Kashmir.
