The recruitment of a Consultant Pathologist will enhance the department’s ability to conduct specialized diagnostic tests and improve service quality.
Post Details
The selected candidate will serve as a Consultant Pathologist on a part-time basis. The appointment is purely consultancy-based and is meant to assist in:
- Conducting laboratory diagnostic tests
- Verification and signing of reports
- Interpretation of pathological and biochemical results
- Supporting diagnostic services of the university
Eligibility Criteria
As per the Clinical Establishments Regulation and Registration Act, applicants must fulfill any one of the following:
1. Medical Qualification Route
Candidates should have:
- MD or DNB in
- Pathology
- Microbiology
- Biochemistry
OR
- Diploma in Clinical Pathology (DCP)
Plus:
- Registration with MCI or State Medical Council
2. PhD Route
Candidates having:
- MBBS with PhD in
- Pathology
- Microbiology
- Biochemistry
- Genetics
- Biotechnology
- Immunology
- Molecular Biology
- Applied Biology
OR
- MSc with PhD in the above fields
And must have:
- Minimum 3 years post-PhD experience
- Experience in a recognized medical college, hospital, or government laboratory
Job Responsibilities
The Consultant Pathologist will be authorized to:
- Conduct specialized diagnostic tests
- Verify laboratory results
- Generate and sign test reports
- Maintain quality control
- Support the diagnostic wing of the department
Selection Process
There will be NO interview.
Selection will be based purely on:
- Academic qualifications
- Professional credentials
- Laboratory and diagnostic experience

Consultation Fee
