University of Kashmir Announces Recruitment for Research Positions in Botany Department
The Department of Botany at the University of Kashmir has announced an exciting recruitment opportunity for eligible candidates in the field of scientific research. The department is seeking applicants for three key positions: Senior Research Fellow, Junior Research Fellow, and Project Assistant. These positions are part of a research project titled, “Scientific and Technological Interventions for Socio-economic Empowerment of Women Folk of Dab Village of District Ganderbal, Kashmir, UT of JK,” funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The project aims to promote the socio-economic development of women in the Dab Village, Ganderbal district, through innovative scientific interventions and technological solutions. Position Details and Qualifications
The details of each position are as follows:
- Senior Research Fellow
- Vacancy: 1 Position
- Emoluments: ₹42,000 per month + 18% HRA
- Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Botany, or an M.Sc in Botany with at least 55% marks and experience in plant tissue culture.
- Junior Research Fellow
- Vacancy: 1 Position
- Emoluments: ₹37,000 per month + 18% HRA
- Qualifications: M.Sc degree holders in Botany, Food Science & Nutrition, or Food Science and Technology with a minimum of 55% marks are encouraged to apply.

- Project Assistant
- Vacancy: 1 Position
- Emoluments: ₹20,000 per month + 18% HRA
- Qualifications: A B.Sc in Botany with at least 55% marks.
