The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has issued the latest weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, indicating largely stable conditions over the coming days, with brief spells of cloudiness and chances of light precipitation towards the end of December and the beginning of January.

According to the forecast, most parts of the Union Territory will experience partly cloudy to generally cloudy weather, while light snow over higher reaches and light rain over plains cannot be ruled out at isolated and scattered locations during specific periods.

December 24 to December 28, 2025

• Weather across Jammu and Kashmir is expected to remain partly cloudy.

• There is a possibility of light rain over plains of Jammu and Kashmir.
• Light snowfall may occur over higher reaches at scattered places, especially during night and early morning hours.

• The region is likely to witness partly to generally cloudy conditions.
• No significant widespread precipitation is expected during this phase.
