Class 11 Results: Only 53 percent qualify exams
55,700 students to reappear in exams, 10,260 students fail to qualify it

Srinagar, Jul 10 (KNO): The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) Monday announced annual regular results of 11th standard with an overall pass percentage of 53 percent.
The news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) has leant that the girl students yet again have outshined boys in the exams.
According to BOSE, the total pass percentage includes 49 percent in boys and 57 percent among girl students.
BOSE said that a total of 1,39,431 students were enrolled for the exams in the UTs of J&K, and Ladakh out of which 73,471 students qualified the exams.
A total of 73,809 male candidates and 65,609 female candidates were enrolled for the exams.
According to BOSE, the exam was conducted at 1316 centres established across the Soft and Hard Zone areas identified in both the UTs.
In the exams, a total of 21,499 students have registered distinctions.
First division was bagged by 33,845 candidates, second position by 16,886 students and third division by 1220.
BOSE said that at least 55,700 students enrolled for the annual regular exams had to reappear in the exams while 10,260 students failed to qualify the exams.
In the meantime, Chairperson of JKBOSE, Prof Parikshat Singh Manhas congratulated all the stakeholders and expressed gratitude to the entire divisional and district level administration.
Manhas said “It takes a lot of effort to implement a new policy and Uniform Academic Calendar 2022-23 is no exception.”
“The vastness, climatic and topographical challenges posed for the conduct of examination in both the UTs was an uphill task but with the active cooperation of every stakeholder, the academic session 2022-23 has successfully concluded,” he said.
Manhas congratulated all the successful students and those students. “Those who could not make it this time should not lose heart and try again in Bi-annual examination with renewed zeal”.—(KNO)
