Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education gives private schools another chance to submit affiliation extension files
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has given private high and higher secondary schools in the Union Territory (UT) another chance to submit their affiliation extension files.
In a circular issued on January 16, 2024, the JKBOSE said that a meeting of the UT level Affiliation Committee is scheduled to be held on January 29, 2024. In view of this, all the concerned academic institutions, whose affiliation expired during the previous academic sessions and whose Extension case files, if any, have been previously rejected, are afforded with an opportunity to submit their Extension case files with the requisite NOC’s/Safety Certificates and prescribed Affiliation fee, to this office latest by January 24, 2024, via the official website viz. www.jkbose.nic.in., so that the further legitimate processes as involved are undertaken under rules.
However, it may also be noted that the incomplete submission/documentation by the concerned academic institutions shall render them ineligible for grant/release of Board related facilities for the current academic session viz. 2023-2024, and the JKBOSE shall be at liberty to proceed accordingly.
The circular was issued by Tharo, Joint Secretary (General) of the JKBOSE.
This is the second time that the JKBOSE has given private schools a chance to submit their affiliation extension files. In November 2023, the Board had issued a similar circular, but many schools were unable to meet the deadline.
