University of Kashmir Issues Important Notice Regarding UG Programs under NEP
The University of Kashmir has released a notice for all undergraduate programs (NEP Batch-2022 and onwards) students. The notice clarifies a crucial point regarding the university’s examination policy, as per Statute 15 (ii) of the statutes governing UG programs under the National Education Policy 2020.
The statute states that a student will not be required to reappear for the practical or tutorial component of an exam if they fail the theory paper or vice versa. However, students must still pass all the assessment components individually.
The notice is signed by the Assistant Controller of Examinations (Conduct) and is dated March 1, 2024. It has been copied to the principals of all affiliated colleges of the university, the Assistant Controller of Examination (Tabulation/Secrecy/Transit), the Joint Controller of Examinations, the System Engineer, IT Conduct, the P.A. to CE for the Controller of Examination, and the Enquiry Cell/ Notice Board/File.
