Medical Assistant

- Performs administrative and clinical tasks in a doctor’s office or clinic
- May take vital signs, prepare medication, and schedule appointments
- Must have a diploma or associate’s degree in medical assisting
Pharmacist
- Licensed professional who dispenses medication to patients
- Reviews prescriptions from doctors to ensure accuracy and safety
- May counsel patients on how to take medication
- Must have a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
Pharmacy Technician
- Assists pharmacists with dispensing medication
- May measure and package medication, or fill prescriptions
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and complete a pharmacy technician training program
