RRB ALP Recruitment 2024: Assistant Loco Pilot Vacancies Tripled to 18,799 – Details Inside
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has revised the number of vacancies for the RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) for 2024. Now, the number of vacancies has increased triple fold from the original notified vacancy of 5696 positions to a significant 18799.

According to the notification released by RRB, the increase in vacancies are available for the postions across all 16 Railway Recruitment Board zones. The notification reads, “Railway Recruitment Board has published CEN 01/2024 for the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilo (ALP) with 5696 vacancies all over the Indian Railways. A review has been undertaken in view of additional demand received from Zonal Railways and vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) stands enhanced to 18799.”

Selection Process
The selection of candidates will be done based on the five stages, according to the recruitment notice published earlier this year.

- Second Stage CBT
- Computer Based Aptitude Test – CBAT
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination.
