University of Kashmir Recruitment 2024 for JRF Position
Department of Earth Sciences is seeking qualified candidates for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position to work on the SERB-Core Research Grant funded project, “The Role of Extreme Weather Events and Patterns in Shaping Vadose Zone Hydrology in Snow-Dominated Catchments.”
Position: Junior Research Fellow (1 No.)
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Geology/Applied Geology with a minimum of 55% marks.
Desirable: NET/SET/GATE qualification and expertise in hydrogeology, hydrology, or hydrological modeling.
Duration: Initially for one year, extendable up to two years based on performance.

Emoluments: As per SERB guidelines: ₹37,000 + HRA for candidates with NET/SET and ₹31,000 + HRA for candidates without NET/SET.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting research related to the project.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Prepare research reports and publications.
