Overview:
Applications are invited for the recruitment of Sanginis (AWWs) and Sahayikas (AWHs) in Anganwadi‘ Centres under the POSHAN Project Gurez as per the following details:
Applications are to be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure “A”) from eligible candidates for engagement as Anganwadi Workers and Helpers on an honorary basis. The selection process and eligibility criteria are detailed below.

Vacant Positions:
Eligibility Criteria:
A. Anganwadi Workers
1. Must be domiciles of the UT of J&K.
2. Women candidates aged between 18-37 years as of 01-01-2024.
3. Should be residents of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
4. Minimum qualification: 10th class pass.

B. Anganwadi Helpers
1. Domiciles of the UT of J&K.
2. Women candidates aged 18-37 years as of 01-01-2024.
3. Residents of the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
4. Minimum qualification: 8th standard pass.
Selection Process:
– Selection will be based on merit.
– Additional weightage for candidates with higher qualifications and belonging to families of retiring AWWs/AWHs.
– No preference for candidates with graduation or higher qualifications.
– Document verification will be required.
