National Health Mission, Jammu & Kashmir Invites Applications for Specialist and Medical Officer Positions
The National Health Mission (NHM), Jammu & Kashmir, has announced walk-in interviews for the recruitment of Specialists and Medical Officers (MBBS) on a contractual basis. The positions are available in various districts across the region.
Eligibility Criteria
Specialists:
- Qualification: MD/MS/DNB in relevant stream
- Experience: Significant incentives for candidates with experience in difficult areas
- Age Limit: Maximum 65 years
Medical Officers (MBBS):
- Qualification: MBBS degree recognized by National Medical Commission (NMC)
- Experience: Preferred, but not mandatory
- Age Limit: Maximum 65 years

Remuneration
- Specialists: Rs. 85,000/- per month + incentives
- Medical Officers (Full Time): Rs. 35,000/- per month + special performance-based incentives
- Medical Officers (Part Time): Rs. 20,000/- + Rs. 7,500/- per month as special performance-based incentives
Selection Process
- Walk-in interviews will be conducted for both Specialists and Medical Officers.
- Preference will be given to candidates from the concerned district.
- In case suitable candidates are not available from the local district, divisional merit will be considered.

- Kashmir Division: August 7, 2024, at State Health Society, Block A, Ground Floor, Old Secretariat, Srinagar
- Jammu Division: August 8, 2024, at State Health Society, RIHFW, Nagrota near Sanik School, Jammu

- Date of Birth Certificate
- Domicile Certificate
- Degree of requisite Qualification
- Marks sheets of all years or consolidated marks sheet
- Registration Certificate issued by Medical Council of India/ J&K State Medical Council
Terms and Conditions
- The initial contract period is up to March 31, 2025, with the possibility of yearly extensions based on performance.
- Candidates must be domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
- Preference will be given to candidates from the concerned district.
- No individual communication will be made to the candidates regarding the application status.
