Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Announces Junior Research Assistant Recruitment
Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), School of Engineering & Technology, Department of Civil Engineering, Rajouri, J&K-185234, has announced a vacancy for the position of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) under the J&K Science Technology and Innovation Council (JKSTIC) project.
Project Title: Soil Erosion Assessment on Hill Slope of Jammu Srinagar National Highway using RUSLE Model
Position Title: Junior Research Assistant
Sponsoring Agency: J&K Science Technology and Innovation Council (JKSTIC), Department of Science and Technology, Government of J&K
Duration: Initially for a period of 1 year, extendable to 2 years subject to the approval of the competent authority. The Principal Investigator and institute reserve the right to terminate the engagement if the performance is not satisfactory.
Number of Positions: 1
Essential Qualifications:
1. B.E. / B. Tech. in Civil Engineering or a relevant degree with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or not less than 60%.
2. M. E. / M. Tech. in a relevant branch of Civil Engineering, preferably with a major project related to Remote Sensing/Satellite Image Analysis/Geographic Information System (GIS)/Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or not less than 60%.
3. BE/B. Tech. (4-year) in Civil Engineering with valid GATE/NET score above the prescribed cut-off level / NET Qualification, with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or not less than 70%.
4. M.Sc. in Geology/Geoinformatics/Earth Sciences/Geography with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or not less than 60% with sound knowledge of GIS/Remote Sensing/Satellite Image Analysis/GNSS.
Desirable: Prior knowledge of GIS/Remote Sensing/Satellite Image Analysis/GNSS.
Emoluments: Rs. 20,000 per month
