Weather Update for Jammu and Kashmir
There is a possibility of a rain shower or a couple of rain showers in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hrs.
Overall, no prolonged rain spell is expected. However, there is a possibility of intense showers in a few spots.
Note:
1. There is a risk of flash floods due to intense showers/cloudbursts in a few vulnerable areas (mainly areas close to mountains).
2. Risk of Shooting stones along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway & other roads will remain there.

There is a possibility of showers today along both routes to the Holy Cave. Intense showers can’t be ruled out.
Moderate Risk of shooting stones/landslides on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

Temperatures at the Amarnath Holy Cave can peak around 19°C, Sheshnag 17°C, while at night, these temperatures can come down to 8°C.
At Chandanwari & Baltal, temperatures can peak around 25°C, while night temperatures may stay around 15°C.
Future Forecast:
There is a possibility of a rain shower/spell during the next 3 days. However, no prolonged spell of rain is expected. Risk of intense thundershowers can’t be ruled out.
