The 126 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) Jammu and Kashmir Rifles has announced a recruitment rally scheduled from 10th to 24th November 2024, at Madhopur in Pathankot District, Punjab. This rally is exclusively open to eligible candidates from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, as well as residents of Pathankot. All candidates are advised to remain cautious of fraud and avoid any intermediaries claiming to assist with recruitment.

Key Highlights of the Recruitment Rally

• Positions Available: The recruitment drive includes vacancies for Soldier (GD), Clerk, Chef, Housekeeper, Artisan Woodwork, Washerman, Dresser, and more.
• Eligible Units: Positions are open for Zone-1 and specific units, including 157 and 158 Infantry Battalions (TA) (H&H) SIKH.

• Important Dates and Locations:
  • The rally will be conducted at Madhopur, Punjab, starting on 10th November and concluding on 24th November.
  • Reporting time for candidates is at 2:00 AM. Entry after 5:00 AM will not be permitted.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age Requirement: 18 to 42 years.
• Physical Standards:
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm
  • Minimum Weight: 50 kg
  • Chest Measurement: 77 cm (with a 5 cm expansion)

Educational Qualifications

1. Soldier (General Duty): Class 10th with a minimum of 45% marks in each subject and an overall average of 33%.
2. Soldier (Clerk): 10+2 pass in any stream with 60% aggregate marks and at least 50% in English and Maths.
3. Tradesman: Minimum 10th pass; however, candidates for certain positions like Housekeeper and Mess Keeper can qualify with an 8th-grade pass.

Required Documents

Candidates must bring original and photocopies of the following documents, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer:

1. Domicile Certificate
2. Character Certificate signed by the Sarpanch/Principal
3. Caste Certificate (if applicable)
4. 20 recent passport-sized photographs (no computer prints allowed)
5. Original and photocopies of educational certificates
6. PAN and Aadhar cards
7. Unmarried certificate for single candidates, or a marriage certificate for married candidates

Important Instructions

• No mobile phones, watches, or electronic devices will be allowed in the testing area.
• Candidates with a history in reserve forces or criminal records are not eligible.
• Sports achievers at the national or state level need to bring certified achievement documents.
