PM Young Achievers’ Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM YASASVI) 2024
The Government of India, through the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, has introduced the PM Young Achievers’ Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM YASASVI) to provide financial support to students from OBC, EBC, and DNT communities. Under this scheme, 15,000 scholarships are being offered for students studying in top-class schools across the country.
NSP Scholarship 2024-25 Status, Renewal, Login, Last Date
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must belong to the OBC, EBC, or DNT categories.
- The annual income of the parents/guardians should not exceed ₹2.50 lakhs.
- The student must be studying in Class 9 or Class 11 at a top-class school.
- Students must have secured 60% or above marks in either Class 8 or Class 10.
Scholarship Assistance:
- For students in Class 9 and 10, the scholarship amount is up to ₹75,000 per annum.
- For students in Class 11 and 12, the scholarship amount increases to ₹1,25,000 per annum.
- The assistance covers tuition fees, hostel fees, and other necessary expenses on an actual basis as required by the school.
Selection Process:
- The scholarship is awarded based on merit, determined by the marks obtained in Class 8 and Class 10.
- Applications are processed through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Important Dates:
- The National Scholarship Portal is open for registration and application until 31st October 2024.
Disbursement:
- The scholarship amount will be disbursed directly to the beneficiary’s Aadhar-seeded bank account via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) by the Central Government.
