The Department of Bioresources at the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, invites applications from motivated and eligible candidates for various research positions under the ANRF and DBT-funded projects. These positions include Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Student Internship, and Senior Research Fellow (SRF), offering exciting opportunities in cutting-edge research areas.
Available Positions:
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 1-ANRF Project
- Project Title: Pharmaceutical co-crystals/salts of azole antifungals. Development and investigation of their physicochemical and anti-fungal properties and cytotoxicity studies.
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Bioresources/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry and allied subjects. Age limit: 28 years (relaxation as per Govt. of India norms).
- Desirable Qualification: CSIR/UGC-NET or GATE qualification. Research experience in molecular biology, fungal microbiology/biochemistry, microbial pathogenesis, and drug resistance.
- Student Internship – 1a-ANRF Project
- Duration: 2 months under the SSR Scheme.
- Essential Qualification: Students pursuing their master’s degree (final semester) or recent graduates in Chemistry.

- Project Title: Sugar transporters as new determinants of drug resistance in Candida auris.
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc. with two years of research experience in addition to the essential qualifications. Age limit: 32 years (relaxation as per Govt. of India norms).
- Desirable Qualification: CSIR/UGC-NET or GATE qualification. Experience in molecular biology, fungal microbiology/biochemistry, microbial pathogenesis, and drug resistance.
