Join the Indian Navy: 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme for Permanent Commission

The Indian Navy invites applications from young, dynamic individuals to become Permanent Commissioned Officers under the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme in the Executive and Technical branches. This program offers an excellent opportunity to serve the nation while earning a professional degree at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.

  • Vacancies: 36 (including 7 for women)
  • Eligible Candidates: Unmarried men and women born between 2 January 2006 and 1 July 2008 (inclusive).

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification:
    • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.
    • They must have scored at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and 50% in English (Class X or XII).
  2. Examination Requirement:
    • Only candidates who appeared for JEE (Main) 2024 are eligible.
    • Shortlisting will be based on the All India Common Rank List (CRL) issued by NTA.
  3. Medical Standards:
    • Candidates must meet the physical and medical fitness standards specified for the program.

Selection Process

  1. Shortlisting:
    • Based on JEE (Main) 2024 CRL.
  2. SSB Interview:
    • Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email and SMS about the SSB interview schedule at centers in Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam.
  3. Final Selection:
    • A merit list will be prepared, and final selections are subject to medical fitness and character verification.

Training

Selected candidates will undergo a four-year B.Tech program in the fields of Applied Electronics, Communication, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. The degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi.

  • Ensure all required documents (10th and 12th marksheets, JEE Main 2024 scorecard, etc.) are uploaded in the prescribed format.
